Artist statement: "The bear is featured in many Haida Stories. This design shows a mother bear with two bear cubs. The bear represents courage, strength and is also a healer and protecter. 

I chose the bear for Cedar Roots Collective because Palestinian mothers exude strength, courage and resilience."
